Gerakan nasional pembagian 10 juta benderah merah putih yang diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Dalam Negeri melalui Direktorat Jenderal Pemerintahan dan Umum dilakukan pemerintah kabupaten Alor yang dihadiri oleh, forum komunikasi pimpinan daerah(Forkompinda) Alor.
Benderah merah putih yang dibawakan oleh pasukan paskibraka kemudian diserahkan kepada masing-masing Bupati Alor, Drs Amon Djobo,M.AP, untuk diteruskan kepada perwakilan siswa SD , kemudian Dandim 1622 Alor, Letkol Inf.Amir Sarifudin, SH diserahkan pada perwakilan SMP, Wakapolres Alor, Kompol. Jamaludin, kepada perwakilan SMA dan seterusnya , kepala kejaksaan negeri, sekda Alor, Asisten III dan II, kepala BNI diserah pakan mantan Paskibraka Alor.
Bupati Alor, Drs Amon Djobo,M.AP dalam arahan menyampaikan hari ini bertepatan dengan apel kesadaran nasional di padukan dengan gerakan nasional pembagian 10 juta bendera kepada anak didik dan masyarakat ,sesuai dengan edaran menteri dalam negeri .
Menurutnya, rasa cinta kita kepada negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia(NKRI) dan bangsa tetap ada. Kegiatan ini bukan saja hal seremonial , tapi harus diambil himahnya, benderah merah putih yang kita pegang saat ini akan kita wariskan untuk anak-anak kita di masa yang akan datang.
Untuk itu kata Djobo, menyongsong hari ulang tahun(HUT) proklamasi kemerdekaan yang ke 78 tahun , jangan kita lupa sejarah . Benderah merah putih yang kita pegang saat ini jangan cuma berhenti di tempat ini, tapi kita perbanyak lagi untuk dibagikan di lingkungan kita dan dipelosok desa-desa di kabupaten Alor.
