KPU Alor Gelar Media Gathering Sosialisasi Tahapan Pemilu

KALABAHI, metroalor.com- Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kabupaten Alor, mengadakan media gathering bersama jurnalis dan media di Kabupaten Alor untuk mensosialisasikan tahapan Pemilu, pada 12/12/23.

Maria Gorety Padu Keraf dalam sambutan pembukaannya mengatakan, peran media sangat penting dalam penyebaran informasi Pemilu tahun 2024.
Menurutnya, hari pemungutan suara tinggal 64 hari, karena itu KPU membutuhkan support dari media untuk menyampaikan tahapan pemilu.
Tahapan pemilu yang dilaksanakan ini tidak lengkap tanpa dukungan teman-teman media.

“Saat ini surat suara sedang dalam perjalanan. Awal bulan lalu kami telah kunjungi pabrik surat suara di Surabaya dan saat ini sedang dalam proses pengiriman surat suara.
Surat suara yang dikirim sebanyak 155.854 ditambah 2 persen dari tiap TPS. Total TPS adalah 773 termasuk 1 TPS khusus di Lapas Kalabahi,” terang Gorety.

Sementara Charlemen Djahadael, selaku Ketua Divisi Sosialisasi dan SDM KPU Alor jelaskan terkait tahapan kampanye yang saat ini sudah berlangsung dari tanggal 28 November 2023 – 10 Februari 2024.

“Peranan media sangat penting sebagai corong informasi dan juga menjadi penyebar informasi bagi masyarakat. Kehadiran teman-teman sudah kami anggap sangat representatif sehingga bisa menjangkau seluruh masyarakat”, jelas Charlemen.

Sementara Cendana Pong Ketua Divisi Data KPU Alor menjelaskan tentang data pemilih. Menurutnya, pasca pemilu tahun 2019, KPU bekerja untuk melakukan data pemilih berkelanjutan serta melakukan sinkronisasi dengan Data Kependudukan dan Daftar Penduduk Potensial Pemilih Pemilihan (DP4).

“Kami melewati beberapa tahapan mulai dari Pencoklitan oleh Pantarlih, hingga DPT di 21 Juni 2023. Ada sekitar 7 bulan kami berproses. Saat Ini ada 155.854 pemilih di Kabupaten Alor. Kami diberikan ruang dalam DPTb untuk yang pindah dan lain-lain. Ada 9 Kategori yang diberikan ruang sampai 15 Januari 2024. Sedangkan empat diantaranya batas waktunya sampai 7 hari sebelum tanggal 14 Februari 2023, jelasnya.

Munawir Laamin, Divisi Teknis KPU Alor mengatakan, Belajar dari pengalaman di Pemilu tahun 2019, Ia optimis Pemilu 2024 akan berjalan lancar tanpa kendala.
Saat ini KPU Alor sedang proses perekrutan KPPS, yang akan bekerja dari tanggal 25 Januari – 25 Februari 2024.(Wanka).
